Her collection of artwork is masterful. Very creative, colorful and rhythmatic. New age surrealism? Anywho, these piece are must see, and, oh yeah... for sale! Got to see these.
"My favorite place to draw is in front of the television. For me, drawing is an obsession similar to the act of binge watching. When I make images, I feel like I am connecting and disconnecting myself from the world around me. My compulsion to make things is an outlet, and unlike my compulsion to watch TV, a seemingly more productive one...
Working with wood, gesso, ink, and latex paint, I create drawings and paintings that depict my relationship to contemporary technology. I also explore a more universal, or 'everyman,' response to the means of communication and distraction that overwhelm and intertwine with our everyday lives.
The work is celebratory and simultaneously records the dissent into the information age of ever-growing technological dependency. I find the work to be comedic and horrible at the same time, a sort of modest monument to the average consumer.
These concepts, as well as my drive to make art, are linked to my background in philosophy. Making art allows me to play with these notions in a more abstract manner, allowing for the free play of associations and the transformations of subtle details. Drawing allows me to express ideas that I do not yet have the words for."
"Hidden behind the moody eyeliner, and her penchant for wearing all black, is an intelligent, curious, and wonderfully spontaneous spirit pulsating to a rhythm all its own" (Medium), and according to Medium, "the Queen of Good Vibes", Brooke Pelczynski, is an Adobe Creative Jam winner, talented & colorful, illustrator, designer, and Multiple Sclerosis fighter based in Brooklyn, NY. Chapin Mathews , a multi-media artist, designer, musician and photographer, captures the diversity of today’s world with authentic merit. Destined to be a visual artist, one night at the ripe age of 4 his father handed him a 1970 35mm Nikkormat that he used to take his first photograph of music icon Aimee Mann. In his mid to late teens he spent several years studying the traditional techniques of photography and darkroom procedures while simultaneously learning the newly developing age of digital design and production.
In 2009, Chapin received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, going on to travel 50,000 miles as a performing visual artist and documentarian before the age of 30. Through these travels he gained significant cultural and spiritual experiences, which aided in developing both his ability to compassionately relate to humanity and his current creative voice.
Chapin’s work is a credible reflection of unique lifestyles that tend to receive distorted views. Through his work Chapin challenges stigmas and taboo perspectives on these lifestyles, representing a common thread of humanity we are all connected to.
Aloha everyone,
Here is a link to my first ever concept album titled "Coming Into The New". It is currently available as a free stream and name your price download on Bandcamp. As I believe music should be freely shared and experienced in this day and age of technology, donations (though not expected) do help support the continuation of a life style devoted to creative service. Here is a description of the album's concept and I hope you enjoy!
I'm a graphic designer and photographer residing in Manteo, an island that is part of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. As the daughter of a career Marine, I had the great fortune to move often and see many beautiful places, but I have found a permanent home in the Outer Banks. This little stretch of barrier islands surprises and inspires me every day. From the sand spurs in my feet to the black pelicans dipping up and down between the waves, I love it all.
Primarily an in-house graphic designer and real-estate/property photographer for a realty company, I also enjoy crafting, collaging, doodling...basically anything that liberates me from the computer! I find creating with my hands is a very satisfying conclusion to a day at the office, as well as stopping at a beach access on my way home to take in the ocean view and fresh salt air.

After many years of planning and creating, one of our most anticipated T-Shirts is here! The Demand Peace Tee If you are from Woodbridge, Virginia you may have seen the local legend known as "The Demand Peace Guy", a very nice and caring man who for the past five or more years has stood outside in the cold and rain with his sign that reads "Demand Peace" in bold black sharpie.
As young adults, we would pass this man every day and feel inspired by his passion, his dedication, and most importantly his message. This brought us to the simple idea of, "how can we help?". This took many months of tracking him down, and finally sitting down with him and getting his full story, along with his full blessing to use his message. "The Demand Peace Guy" as we call him, does not like to give out his name or any of his information, but has told us what he appreciates the most is when people come up and talk with him, listen to him, and hopefully take something from his message and his story. After speaking with him ourselves, we were determined to make this shirt a reality and hopefully all of Woodbridge, Northern Virginia, and the rest of The World can wear his sign on their chest and show support everywhere they go! Also portion of every shirt sold will donated directly to the Demand Peace Guy to support his cause!!!
